Dr. med. Stephan Buse
Dr. Buse is the chief physician at the Clinic for Urology and Urologic Oncology at the Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus in Essen and has been a consultant to Preventicum since August 2015. He is an internationally recognized expert on urology and urologic oncology.
Dr. Buse is in addition director of robot-assisted surgery at Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus and has for several years made a name for himself as one of the experts in the field of minimally invasive surgery.
Apart from laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, other areas of expertise are laser surgery of the prostate gland (Green Light laser and thulium laser) as well as the so-called da Vinci Surgical System (robotic surgery), including reconstructive precision surgery. Dr. Buse is well-known as an official proctor for the da Vinci technology, and he trains and assists operators and their teams at many national and international hospitals. He is a member of numerous professional societies, including the German Society of Urology, the European Association of Urology, the German Society for Robot-Assisted Urology and the Society of Robotic Surgeons.
